The Royal Suite – A unique hotel experience designed by Lars Wallin

Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Gothenburg proudly presents a new era of exclusive accommodation – The Royal Suite, now redesigned by Sweden's foremost couture designer Lars Wallin. Inspired by a private penthouse in New York, the suite has been transformed into a place where international elegance meets Scandinavian finesse.

Covering 160 sqm, it includes a welcoming lounge, dining room with seating for 12 guests, bedroom, walk-in closet, private bar, and a bathroom with sauna – designed as a luxurious private spa. The suite is not just for overnight stays – it is also a flexible meeting space for intimate dinners, private events, and exclusive business meetings.

For the first time ever, Lars Wallin introduces custom-designed furniture – several of which were specially created for the suite – which will also be available for sale. The project marks a new dimension in Lars Wallin's creative expression and his long-standing collaboration with the hotel.

"I wanted to create a suite that reflects the hotel's international character – a place with bold colors, multifunctional spaces, and a touch of glamour," says Lars Wallin.

In addition to the decor, the suite will also feature a curated selection of artworks in collaboration with Wetterling Gallery. The works will be changed regularly, making each visit unique – like sleeping in the midst of a living art exhibition.

The Royal Suite has hosted many celebrities over the years, including Madonna, David Bowie, Dolly Parton, Paul McCartney, and Elton John, as well as international statesmen and royals. With Lars Wallin's vision, the suite has been given new life – a place where form, function, and artistic luxury meet.

Lars Wallin is currently also featured in a anniversary exhibition at the art museum Artipelag, celebrating his 35 years as a fashion creator and designer.
